What Customers Say About Powerage:

The concert was a blast. Powerage was recommended by my son as the best AC/DC album. Bon Scott is the singer.Bought the album before the Wellington concerts. These guys are great performers. The album is just good solid dependable rock n roll.

"POWERAGE" by AC/DC, is one of few albums that re-energized the rock music scene in it'era. I most highly reccommend this recording for any one who has not listened to it, or as a reignition tool for anybody who has but has lost their drive. The other two were VH1 and Def Lepard'S High&Dry. Like the last two mentioned, POWERAGE has remained viable and certainly one of the finest efforts that AC/DC has produced. This recording is compelling. Reviewed by D.Leary 2/3/10

There's really no chance you will be disappointed. Powerage is known to be one of the best albums AC/DC has ever made. It's definitely a classic. Best songs are Down Payment Blues, Gimme A Bullet and What's Next To The Moon. All songs are great and some are even brilliant. If you are not yet familiar with the first say 7 or 8 AC/DC albums I'd recommend this one first. Hails to AC/DC. Hails to Bon Scott.

Every song is a winner. Riff raff - great work from the youngs on this one, great song-9/105. "Powerage" is a little heavier on the blues influence than any of the other albums. This is AC/DC's lowest selling album in the U.S. Up to my neck in you - this is a frentic rocker which will have your fists pounding in the air, another great track - 9.5/109. Gimmie a bullet - another great song, the opening is superb with a great verse and a cthch chorus, wonderful stuff - 9.5/104.

Downpayment blues - this is a slower track but features incredible solo's from angus young - 10/103.

Anyone who likes AC/DC should have this in their collection.1.

Whats next to the moon - set by the signature groove of drummer phil rudd - 9/107.

As an AC/DC fan for 30 years.

Sin city - classic dc- 8/106.

Rock n roll damnation - what a great song this is to open up the album, this is ac/dc in their prime.

10/102.

Gone shootin - another amazing track from dc, another varied classic track - 10/108.

Kicked in the teeth - the riff is very similar to let there be rock, still a good song though as dc give it there all - 8.5/10

But it doesn't really kick in until the middle, featuring the killer combination of "Riff Raff", "Sin City" and "What's Next To The Moon". It's a very good album that was unfortunately left in the wake of several great ones ("Let There Be Rock", "If You Want Blood, You Got It", "Highway To Hell" and "Back In Black"). Ask any AC/DC fanatic what their favorite album is, more than likely you'll hear Powerage. Which may explain its lack of popularity, or perhaps it's unfair status as below average - three towering songs that should have led off the album are bookended by several good ones. But so what. For that reason the album remains unfairly tagged as the group's Bon Scott era runt of the litter, inciting both praise and support from fans, including rock royalty Keith Richards.Hearing Powerage for the first time feels like you've unearthed a rare gem. The album is the band's first truly accomplished work and serves as a bridge between their cult status and international fame. Rogue screamer Bon Scott is in his excessive prime, the rhythm section featuring new bassist Cliff Williams and drummer Phil Rudd is a metronome disguised as a wrecking ball and the simple but bludgeoning guitar work by the Angus brothers is a profound study in rock `n' roll minimalism. Considering the overplay of so many AC/DC albums, it's nice to know you have a classic piece of the band that feels like your own.
